Friday Night Folly Race Series

Starting on July 12, 2024, races are held each Friday evening during July and August.  First Warning Signal 6:00PM.  Races will start and finish near the 24th Bay St. Beach Access in Ocean View.

Annual Labor Day Regatta (Version 2.24/Chesapeake Challenge)
August 31, 2024

The Labor Day event is held every Labor Day weekend and consists of two separate 21-mile distance races, with a perpetual trophy awarded to the overall winner.   Saturday’s race is called, ‘Version 2.0’, which pays homage to the Low Rent Regatta© of the 80s.   Skippers line up on the beach for a ‘Le Mans’ style start and make their way around the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, through the channels and back for a beach landing finish. 

Sunday’s race is called, ‘The Chesapeake Challenge’ and mirrors the Version race by completing the previous days course, but in reverse.  Races start and finish near the 24^th Bay St beach access in Ocean View.
