Jean and Jerry Pattenaude are hosting a cruise to Fleets Bay / Pirates Beach for an anchoring weekend for Labor Day. Water games, cookouts, beach party, swimming will all be part of this fun family oriented trip.
The 2019 Chesapeake Challenge, Version 2.18 will be held on Labor Day weekend from August 31 to September 2. Please join Hobie Fleet 32 for some exciting racing and other fun. The race is open to beach multihulls of 21' LOA and smaller.

Course: The course will be determined at skippers meeting.
Race: Both days will be started using the Leman’s starting system. All Skippers will be lined up behind a line on the beach and then will race to their boats in order to start the race. Solo skippers may elect to have someone hold their boat and to help them launch. Boats cannot be moved until the skipper touches the boat. Skipper and crew must assume assigned positions, crew cannot drive the boat at the start but can change any time during the race. Finish will be scored when the hulls touch the beach at the designated finish line.

The Leo Wardrup Memorial Cape Charles Cup Awards will be presented at the September membership meeting of the BBSA at A. J. Gators. Come join us to celebrate the winners.

16th Annual Neptune's Atlantic Regatta - Registration
BBSA's last race of the season, Neptune's Atlantic Regatta, is affiliated with Virginia Beach's Neptune Festival and is also a CBYRA-sanctioned event. Starting off Little Creek, racers transit the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, sail down the coast, and finish off 24th street. After a night of fun at the Festival, participants leave the event's complimentary Rudee Inlet dockage and return home. This race is part of the Southern Bay Distance Racing Series (SBDRS).
Registration fee includes 2 free dinner tickets, 1 skipper's bag, and 2 free t-shirts.
