“Just across the James River from historic Jamestown in beautiful Surry County, Chippokes is one of the oldest continually farmed plantations in the country. A working farm since 1619, the park offers modern recreational activities and a glimpse of life in a bygone era. Visitors tour the historic area with its antebellum mansion and outbuildings, stroll through formal gardens, and view antique equipment at the Chippokes Farm and Forestry Museum.”
Festivities will include a SUP Race, Sunday A “Bloody Mary” Sunday bar aboard S/V Argo at 10:30AM (BYO… Cup and Ice!) and more! Unfortunately, we will not be able to have a bonfire on the beach. Sorry! Not permitted.
There are several programs running at the park that people can enjoy for a small fee (see a few examples below).
I urge you to check out this website prior to your visit for lots of great information (two links below).

Please RSVP if you are interested in joining the cruise.
NOTE: If anyone is planning to go from Little Creek and doesn’t want to make the trip over in one day, Ellen and I are planning to travel to Leeward Marina the night before and proceed to Chippokes from there. Let us know if you want to join us.
