The Broad Bay Sailing Association is very active in PHRF and handicap racing in Hampton Roads. Sailors can enjoy weekly around-the-buoys racing on Wednesday nights at Little Creek and Thursday nights on Willoughby Bay. These races go from mid-April to late September. There are also One-Design and Hobie Fleet races on a regular basis.  

BBSA sponsors four weekend regattas:

• Cape Henry Cup
• Leo Wardrup Memorial Cape Charles Cup
• Neptune's Atlantic Regatta
• Broad Bay Sailing Championship for the Bold Mariner Cup  

BBSA also administers the 
Southern Bay Distance Racing Series (SBDRS)

All BBSA races are managed according to the US Sailing Racing Rules of Sailing 2021-2024.  To access these rules, you must be a member of US Sailing and you can find information about their rules app at:  US Sailing RRS.
