The plans are still a little flexible, but the basic plan is as follows:
Saturday – Sail over to Cape Charles City Marina. We will gather on the docks for our usual docktails at 1700. Please bring an appetizer to share and of course plenty of your favorite libations.
Sunday - Time to decorate our boats to celebrate our Independence in style. All are free to explore the town, enjoying of course the various eateries and drinking establishments. Don’t forget to stop in at the Gull Hammock for their daily wine tasting (Time will posted outside the shop). The plan for Docktails is the same as Saturday night, gather on the docks at 1700. Please bring an appetizer to share and your favorite libation.
Monday - We will gather on Monday Evening for a movie night dockside bring a chair and your favorite libation and snacks. The present choice for the showing, a Sailors favorite “Captain Ron”
Tuesday (Independence Day) – Details for the town of Cape Charles 4th of July activities have not yet been posted, but the town always hosts a local parade, usually around 1000. In the past we gathered at the distillery which made for a great spot to watch the parade and enjoy Bloody Mary’s made with local spirits. Tuesday evening, we will gather on the docks at around 1800 for docktails which will be followed by a potluck. Please bring appetizers as well as a main dish to share. At sunset, the City of Cape Charles always puts on a great fireworks exhibition and our dock makes for a great spot to enjoy them.
Wednesday – Derig the boats and docks and then a leisurely sail back to our respective home ports before we go back into our usual grind.
