on 6/18/2024 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm
at Bold Mariner Brewing Company, 1901 E Ocean View Ave, Norfolk, VA.

Jimmy Buffet Themed Meeting
Put on your favorite Hawaiian Shirt and Flip Flops to join us for a "Jimmy Buffett" themed BBSA Membership Meeting. Sunglasses and straw hats optional.

Potluck dinner - Consider bringing a Cheeseburger burger (in Paradise).  Bring anything you want to share but consider bringing something that comes from a Jimmy Buffet song.

  • Key lime Pie
  • "Give me Oysters and Beer, for dinner every day of the year and I'll be fine"....
  • "Growing old on Steak and bacon, in a dog house 10 foot round."
  • "Fruitcakes in the kitchen, Fruitcakes on the Streets"

Workshop

We will position multiple stations around the room with experts providing hands-on training on tying knots, cleating lines, throwing lines and more.  Mike Brannon of Performance Rigging will demonstrate how to make an eye-splice in double-braid. 

Bring your crew and family to learn the ropes.  With multiple stations, you can move from one to the next at your own pace.  Lots of opportunity to practice.  If you want to volunteer as an expert, please send an email to:  eric@ecbrinsfield.com
