Poker Run Cruise - August 16-18, 2024 - Led by Kalypso
Back River (Between R16 - R18) 37*6.254N / 76*19.372W

We kept the location close to boost attendance. The anchorage is along the north edge of the Back River channel, 10-13’ deep, lots of room between R16 and R18. Good holding and protection - except from the east. There is an awesome beach 1.5 miles away - straight shot from the anchorage. Wallace’s marina is around the corner. They are full service with food, ice, fuel, etc.

Saturday 2pm: Those of you who have participated in a Poker Run on Go-fast boats or motorcycles, you know what a good time this is. A map of 5 locations will be provided. You will use your dinghy (or jump in someone else’s) to go between boats and/or other locations to collect your poker hand that will be concealed in envelopes (it’s not a race!). Lingering and beverages at pick up locations is encouraged. We’ll all meet on the beach later in the afternoon to play our hand and see who wins the big prize!

No other activities planned. As mentioned, there is a great beach and apparently fires are allowed if contained in a ring. So, plan on bringing your beach gear and a fire log!
