Friday - Saturday, June 7-9, 2024 hosted by Mike Ottaway on Kalypso

Kalypso will anchor somewhere between Hospital Point and Tidewater Yacht Marina on Friday June 7 before noon. She will be flying an American flag and a large BBSA flag.  The Parade of Sails begins at noon.  If you are in the parade, you can anchor near us afterward.  

Later, you can dingy over to Tidewater Yacht Marina (we do not have explicit permission to dock there) and enjoy walking around Olde Towne Portsmouth. There is a free concert by Paul Urban in the Courtyard (400 High St) in the evening. Be sure to get back to your boat by 9:30pm for the Drone Show - it’s a must see if you’ve never experienced it.

Saturday morning is a great time to walk around the Farmer’s Market in Olde Towne (between 9am-2pm).  There are also many nice restaurants nearby as well as multiple activities associated with Harborfest on the Norfolk side. Kalypso will host Sundowners at 7pm Saturday - feel free to bring an appetizer to share. Then everyone goes back to their boat for Fireworks starting at 9:30. Depart at your leisure on Sunday. All plans are dependent on weather.
