Training Session and Potluck
Topic:  Tides and Currents - Presenter:  Jeff Rogers

Our speaker, Jeff Rogers, is a local expert on tides and currents, with a focused knowledge of tides and currents in south Hampton Roads.  He will discuss local conditions and differences in other locations on the east coast.

This training is useful both for racers, who often must decide which side of a course is “favored” (based on currents as well as wind conditions), and for cruisers, who need to consider local current conditions in route planning. Jeff will also discuss how to visually recognize currents in various wind conditions.

• Check-in at 6:30 pm and get food and drinks
• Training from 7:00 pm- 8:30 pm

Feel free to arrive earlier in order to sample Bold Mariner's offerings. 
Beer, wine and other beverages are available for purchase.  

NOTE:  We realized that many people are tired of pizza, so we have turned this evening's event into a potluck with a Greek theme.  Please bring something to share.  If you can make it Greek that would be great, but bring whatever you like.  

We will still offer pizza orders: 2 slices/$5. Estimate your order during registration but pay at the event.
