A Hampton Yacht Club tradition, sailed in conjunction with the HYC Power Boaters, please come and join us for a sail over to Cape Charles to commemorate the famous Suck & Shuck Weekend at The Oyster Farm Marina. Shuck-n-Suck will try once again to be the best Cape Charles festival which Features: Live Music all weekend; Steamed Clam Eating Contest; Shuck-n-Suck Oyster Contest; Smith Island Skiff Races; Khedive Shriners Parade; Chesapeake Cowboys Extreme Boat Docking Contest; Fireworks and much more.
While the Power Boaters will be at The Oyster Farm, the Casual Cruisers will stage out of the Cape Charles City Docks (Reservations are required and once again the City Marina is only taking wait list reservations, but land cruisers are always welcome). Saturday evening the Casual Cruisers, Misty and I will host docktails at 1700 by our boat on the T-Head of āCā Dock (or wherever we are moored). Please bring an appetizer to share and of course your favorite libation. Following the docktails, at around 1830, the Casual Cruisers will join the Power Boaters to enjoy a Potluck Party on the docks at The Oyster Farm. Please bring a dish to share and the club is providing the Beer and Wine.
