Come join us for a spring gathering with friends along with a knot-tying workshop. Please register if you are coming. We need a head count for Sail Nauticus.
The April membership meeting will be held Tuesday, April 16 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm at the Sail Nauticus Elizabeth River Pavilion. The pavilion is outside but under cover on the water side of Sail Nauticus, where we will set up a potluck dinner and set of special stations to demonstrate valuable knots for sailors. The weather looks good but may be somewhat cooler, so dress accordingly.
In addition, we will provide personal support for the new website.
The knot stations will be set up around the pavilion staffed by volunteers who will demonstrate their favorite knots or line techniques. So, if there is one knot you want to learn more about, you can ask our volunteers. We will certainly cover: bowline and it's variations, square (reef) knot, clove hitch, two-half hitches, cleat hitch, figure eight, halyard hitch, rolling hitch (tautline hitch), and more.
We will also setup one or two help stations for the new website. If you have questions about the features or just have trouble logging in, you can get help.

Please bring something to share for dinner. We will provide beer, wine and water. If you prefer something else to drink, please bring it.

Directions to the Elizabeth River Pavilion:
- Park across the street from Nauticus in one of the parking decks.
- Walk across Waterside Drive toward the Nauticus main entrance.
- Stay on the ground floor and walk around the building (right or left)
- At the back, you will see the covered pavilion (see photo below and the red track)
