Norfolk Grand Illumination Cruise, 20-22 Nov
RSVP
The Grand Illumination Parade cruise is scheduled this year over the November 21st weekend, always the weekend before Thanksgiving and has become a Cruisers annual unofficial kickoff of the holiday season.
“This year, the City of Norfolk is reimagining the 2020 holiday season to keep everyone safe and festive. The Grand Illumination of the Norfolk skyline will occur on our traditional parade night, Saturday, November 21 at 1900. While the City is not able to produce the traditional Grand Illumination Parade, the date will serve as their kickoff for the holiday season downtown”.
Enjoy warm treats with friends, see the twinkling Christmas lights, shop for that perfect gift and celebrate.
BBSA and HYC Cruisers have made this a holiday tradition and sail from their various home ports to rendezvous at Waterside Marina in Norfolk to enjoy warm cider, hot toddies, and other hot libations aboard. We will set up a tent, chairs, and heaters on the docks, usually on the Waterside bulkhead. We encourage all cruisers to bring crockpots full of their favorite warm libation, stews and “what nots” for the holiday weekend event.
Please contact me for any additional details and to RSVP for the cruise. Reservations at Waterside are recommended and can be made on Dockwa.
