The Annual Cruise Planning meeting is on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, in the Commodore's Dining Room (upstairs) at Hampton Yacht Club.

At the beginning of each year, the BBSA cruisers gather to discuss potential cruises for the season. During the meeting, called the Cruise Planning Meeting, cruising skippers who want to lead a cruise can suggest cruising destinations, or voyages or volunteer to lead a short weekend cruise. Cruising skippers that want to join a cruise have an opportunity to learn about local cruising, and determine which cruises might be of interest to them.  Sailors interested in cruising vacations, such as bareboat chartering in the Caribbean, are also welcome. Hint... hint... we have some big cruising in the works for this year.

For the past several years, we have partnered with Hampton Yacht Club on joint cruise planning.

• 12-12:30 social gathering and late comers
• 12:30-1:30ish lunch
• 1:30-3 meeting:

Meeting Time

• First 10-15 mins: 
• • Announcements and cruising welcome. 
  • What are those the large calendars on the wall?
• Next 20-30 minutes, everyone walks around and writes on the calendars.
• Last 45 mins, I read aloud what’s on the calendars and authors can give details.

• Cost per person:  $25 - pay at the event with cash or card

• • An assortment of lunch meats and cheeses
  • Selection of bread and rolls
  • House Salad and pasta salad
  • Cash bar
