HRBT Expansion Project

VDOT recently led a presentation to BBSA and the sailing community over Zoom, during which they explained the technical and logistical extent of the project along with the expected timeline.  They discussed impact on navigation mostly related to Hampton Creek and Willoughby.  Overall, barge and tug traffic in the channel may increase but no other obstacles in the main entrance channel will be impacted.  To see a video of the project vision, go to:  HRBT Expansion Video

    Wild Apricot Security and Data Protection

    A few people have asked questions about our hosting provider Wild Apricot and whether they sell our data. The answer is absolutely not.

    On their website, they answer the question: "What do we do with your data?"

    Short answer: we only use your data for running your Wild Apricot account. Period.

    Our business model is very simple - our revenue comes from paid accounts subscription plus a (very small) chunk from ads displayed on websites of free accounts. We do not sell or share any personal information about you or your members to any outside organization/partners/advertisers.

    If you have other concerns about the BBSA website, please let us know. The BBSA website limits access to member information to other members. Even within the membership, you can control what other members see.
